Charlize’s failed romantic escape - 2009-01-05
 Charlize Theron didn’t enjoy much her New Year’s getaway as she fell out with boyfriend Stuart Townsend. The actress was said to be glum after she was overheard shouting at the staff of the luxury Casa de Miel hotel in Tulum, Mexico, reports British tabloid The Daily Mail. An onlooker told the press, “She kicked off a few times and Stuart took the brunt of it all and didn’t look very happy. “She began shouting about the lights not coming on in her room and was heard complaining about the water not being hot enough.” Charlize was spotted attending power yoga classes and playing golf while Stuart opted for chilling out at the beach solo.
Charlize among sexiest women alive - 2008-12-22
 Charlize Theron has ranked forth as the sexiest woman on earth in a new online poll. The screen siren appears on the forth spot according to men taste while she reaches the eighth place for women. Transformer star Megan Fox topped the poll in both cases. Actress Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson accomplished the second and third place respectively in the men poll; while Jennifer Aniston and Halle Berry filled the same places for women.
Charlize: fun at Disneyland! - 2008-12-10
 Showing her appreciation, Charlize Theron took her personal assistant Ashlee Irish to Disneyland to celebrate her birthday on December 2. The two ladies were spotted having a whale of a time as they posed with Santa Claus. Charlize looked beautiful as usual dressed in a casual outfit.
Charlize attends Dubai’s deluxe party - 2008-11-24
 Charlize Theron attended the lavish party for the Grand Opening of Atlantis, The Palm Resort, on Nov. 20 in Dubai. The actress and her beau Stuart Townsend enjoyed the $20 million star studded shindig in the United Arab Emirates. Other stars invited to the luxurious resort included Robert DeNiro, Lindsay Lohan, Lily Allen, Petra Nemcova, Denzel Washington, Mary Kate Olsen, Mischa Barton, among many others.
Charlize named UN Messenger of peace - 2008-11-17
 Charlize Theron has been appointed as United Nations messenger of peace, with a special aim in ending violence against women. The Oscar-awarded actress was named by UN Chief Ban-Ki-Moon to carry on this honorable task. She has been working on social-related issues for a long time, mainly in her native South Africa with the Africa Outreach Project that promotes HIV/AIDS education for poor children and their families. Theron is to follow the steps of fellow actors George Clooney and Michael Douglas, in their task to improve the lives of billions of people.

| She grew up in a small
town called Benoni and was a member of the tribe South Soho. She
was born a single child in a very wealthy family. She learned
many of the 28, (twenty-eight!) languages she speaks from the
staff on her parents' farm. When she was 6, Charlize showed her
first signs of what would be her stardom. She began ballet and
considered doing this for a career. She continued dancing and
would eventually go professional in Johannesburg. At the age of
16 she took an offer to begin modelling in Milan, Italy, because
she'd won a local modeling contest.
